There was a storm the night that the Black Prophecy was made. The night that the rain had been read and told the horrible tale of the death of the race, the death of the last flock of griffins and all because of one cub. One kit that would be seen different, both mentally and physically. This newborn would be seen as evil, the Reaper, it would be called.
The cub would be vicious towards others and proud. It would love to fight and it’s heart ache to taste blood. It would raise an army and destroy all the valiant griffins that fight back. Nothing would stand in it’s way. The griffin race would die besides this one griffin, it would lord over the world
.
But still, as the prophecy told, the noble griffins would fight against this great evil and a giant war would break out, shaking the very earth to it’s core. Each side would have mercenaries from the smallest fairy to the largest Spire Beast. They would be equal in strength, but still that one kit would win for it would kill the griffin Leader. Its strength would be more than any griffin had ever seen and none would stand in its way.
The world would change as they knew it.
But what the flock didn’t know was that there was a Light Prophecy made the next day by the same tellers, the Great Owls. This prophecy told of a young griffin who had been terribly betrayed in it’s past and thrown from it’s flock. It alone had the ability to kill the Reaper, with it’s knowledge and not it’s strength. And so, if found, the largest battle of the war would take place, led by this young griffin, at Twilight, the hour known by the griffin’s as the holy hour when they gained the most strength. But griffin race would almost be entirely wiped out in this battle and so it would be forever known as the Twilight Massacre
